NOIAW Mentor Program
On March 29, 2008, the NOIAW Mentor Program, hosted by Regina Peruggi , President of Kingsborough College, presented a panel of professional women who discussed the various aspects of resume writing, the interviewing process, career opportunities, and the place of women in the workplace. The topics of the program included the interview process, resume writing and dispelling stereotypes. Panel presentations were made by NOIAW members in the areas Education, Finance, Legal/Judicial, Psychology/Social Work and The Arts. The panels provided opportunities for career advice and mentoring.
President Regina Peruggi welcomed everyone to Kingsborough Colllege. President, Carol Silvagni Macleod, presented an overview of NOIAW goals and
objectives, and the Mentor Program. Krisitne Spano presented a PowerPoint on Resume Writing and the Interview Process. Q and A and a lively discussion continued.
While lunch was served, the panelists and participants headed to their respective breakout tables around the room. Follow up mentoring is available. Participation was free and lunch was served by the college.
A wonderful informative and delightful afternoon was had by all.
