Mentoring

Applications for our Mentoring Program are accepted on a rolling basis. Click here to apply to be a mentor or a mentee.

A common heritage brings our mentors and mentees together. Shared professional interests help them soar. Our highly regarded mentoring program matches young Italian American professionals and college students with established experts in their field.

The mentoring relationship helps young professionals get their footing, and provides established professionals the opportunity to give back to their community in a meaningful way.

Each pair shares similar interests and a deep connection to their Italian heritage.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible to participate in the program, you must be a current member of NOIAW. Click here to join or renew your membership today.

Italian American undergraduate students, young professionals, and women of any age seeking to enter the workforce or make a career transition are welcome to apply as mentees.

Mid to senior career professionals are welcome to apply as mentors.

We look for mentees and mentors of all backgrounds and interests. While we make every effort to find a suitable match for all applicants, we regret that we cannot guarantee this. If we are unable to place you based on our initial applicant pool, we will continue to search for a match through direct outreach to our members.

Details

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We match mentors and mentees based on professional interests, location, and other factors.

If a mentor or mentee in your location is not available, we may assign you to a long-distance partner and encourage you to communicate via e-mail and phone.

The initial commitment lasts six months and can be extended if both parties agree.
