Cultural Events

Our frequent cultural events are designed to celebrate Italian heritage, culture and language. As part of our mission, events are offered to the general public at cost. Members enjoy lower admission prices to all events.

The majority of our cultural events take place in our four regions: Greater New York (including Manhattan, Long Island and Staten Island), Greater Washington, D.C., Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Check our events calendar to see all of our upcoming events and buy tickets online!

Events are a great way to get to know our members and learn more about our mission and our organization.

We’re committed to promoting Italian culture as part of our mission. Bringing people together to honor and learn more about our rich, vibrant heritage fulfills our organization’s goals and promotes Italians everywhere.

Ci vediamo!

Events are hosted by our Region Presidents:

Chef-taught Cooking Classes and Demonstrations

Whether it’s the Feast of the Seven Fishes or the delicate art of making pasta by hand, we learn the ins and outs of authentic Italian regional cuisine.

Author Talks and Expert Presentations

Italian American women, many of them NOIAW members, are eager to share their expertise and help others! Meet an author to discuss her work or continue your education with a relevant presentation.

Film Screenings

We love showcasing the best that Italian cinema has to offer — both contemporary and classic! Typically, we gather film experts to offer a panel discussion following the screening. We also frequently are able to offer our members free or discounted tickets to Italian movies now showing in movie theaters.

Young Professionals

Our vibrant young professional events range from wine tastings to career conversations with a focus on networking and developing professional skills. We encourage our young professionals to attend all of our events as they offer great opportunities to network with our highly accomplished members.
