Caroline Chalmers is a second generation Italian American whose grandparents came from Naples, Italy. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. The first in her family to graduate from college, Caroline received a BS in Economics from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Her career spanned from Operations, Marketing and Sales, retiring from IBM in 2008 while living in New Orleans. She returned back to New York just a few months ago and is looking forward to meeting the ladies at NOIAW.
Tessa Nesta is currently a Master’s Candidate for Historic Preservation at Pratt Institute, as well as a Graduate Assistant for the Historic Preservation Department. Tessa grew up in Ohio in a tight knit Italian family that owns an Italian restaurant, rockyspub. She spent eight years working alongside the Audi race team as the Account Executive for A. Sharon A. Santilli, Esq. is Associate Director and Child Support (IV-D) Director for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Human Services for the past 29 years. She received a BA from the University of Rhode Island in 1976 and a JD from Northern Illinois University, College of Law in 1981. She is a member of the RI and Illinois Bar Associations. She is married and has two daughters. Sharon is a first generation Italian whose mother was born in Italy in 1922 and came to the United States in 1929. Connect with Sharon on her website.
Carmella Spinelli is an international fashion and design professional with over 20 years of experience in both industry and education. She currently serves as the International Special Projects and Recruitment Specialist for the Savannah College of Art and Design, representing the university globally. She lectures and conducts workshops on design in Latin America; Havana, Cuba; Dubai, The UAE; Mumbai, India; Hong Kong; Beijing and Shanghai, China.
Caroline Ziccardi is a Development Associate for LSA Family Health Service in East Harlem, NY. Caroline is a New Jersey native with a Master’s in International Affairs from The New School and a Bachelor’s in International Studies & Spanish from Iona College. Her academic background and work as a fundraiser center on human rights; particularly immigrants’ and children’s rights. She enjoys politics, reading, culture, and travel.
