Vocalist Simona De Rosa was born in Napoli, the City that gave her the passion for music. Since her childhood she sung in different projects, from neapolitan orchestras to pop and jazz bands. Simona discovered the world of jazz via her brother Dario, a drummer, who kept a formidable collection jazz records. She received formal voice and piano training, had a great passion for science which led he to a degree in geological science, and until the age of 20 she was a professional tennis player. After several musical experiences with many musicians, she moved to NYC to take a Master in Jazz Performance completed on December 2014. Her repertoire embraces different genres (jazz, pop, Italian songs, neapolitan music), all unified in a unique and mature approach. In 2014 Simona organized and produced a concert named “41st parallel” (as the parallel that links NYC to Napoli) with 60 musicians. In this occasion she was awarded by the Country Executive Ed. Mangano and from the Association of Italian American Educators for her “spirited leadership, dedication and her outstanding cultural contribution to the Italian-American Community in the USA”.
