22 Jun RECAP: Daughters, Dads and the Path Through Grief: Tales from Italian America 6/20/2015

On Saturday, June 20, the Greater Washington, DC Region gathered at the Region President’s home in Wesley Heights for a conversation with Lorraine Mangione, Ph.D., and Donna DiCello, Psy.D., both NOIAW members. Drs. Mangione and DiCello spoke about and read from their book, which encompasses three major themes: the importance of the father/daughter relationship; the process of loss and mourning of a father; and the impact of Italian American culture on such relationships and loss. The book incorporates exercises and suggestions for women going through this type of loss.
